Misty is the owner and President of Childs Capital Group. She has been in the financial services industry for 21 years. Misty gained her insight into the wirehouse side of the business from her 8 years with Merrill Lynch and 2 years with A.G. Edwards. Then in 2002, she took what she considers to be one of her greatest "leaps of faith" by choosing to become an independent financial advisor.
Misty holds the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) from the College for Financial Planning, a Series 7 General Securities license, a Series 24 Registered Principle license, a Series 65 Investment Advisor Representative License and a Group 1 Insurance license. She is also a proud graduate of Texas A&M University.
One of Misty's favorite parables is the Parable of the Faithful Servant in Luke 12:48 where it says "From everyone who has been given much, much will be required". She not only takes that to heart in her business, where she is blessed with a strong family of clients who have entrusted her with their financial well-being; but also in her community and church. Misty serves on the boards of Proverbs 19:17 Ministries, is a Rotarian and sings in the adult choir.
While the above are of importance to Misty, nothing gives her more joy than spending time with her husband of 17 years, Scott, and their two children, Andrew and Janae. When not out enjoying time with her family, you might spot her on the tennis courts with the Lindale Tennis Association or playing a round of golf with friends.
